For the Love of Filtered Water

Water, I am officially addicted to the stuff. Weirdly I have been since I was a little girl...Albeit ladened with sugary squashes back then. !

I don’t go anywhere without my water bottle and get stressed without it by my side.

But I know this isn’t the case for everyone and it can be a laborious task to remember to drink your 2 litres a day. !

We absolutely need to get those litres in each day but the best thing you can do for your health and immune system is to drink filtered water. And I’m talking about a powerful filter not a Brita filter that lives in the fridge ;)

These are some of the yucky things in tap water that you don’t want to be consuming daily:

Chlorine - yes it kills the bad bacteria in the water but it also kills the good bacteria too. This is so important for your overall gut health and in turn your immune system (90% of which is based on the gut).

Fluoride - This is added to protect dental health. a polarising topic! Whether it works or not when Fluoride is given to rats it has been proven to cause bone cancer, liver cancer, behavioural issue, Alzheimer’s,impaired thyroid function.

Heavy metals, pesticides, female contraceptive hormones, pharmaceutical drugs plus the 50 chemicals added to the water to clean it...I could go on but you get the picture.

Your refreshing glass of water suddenly doesn’t feel so nourishing to the body! Fear not there are so many different options to filter tap water.
